As an unpaid volunteer-led charity, we rely entirely on donations to keep going. Our dogs and handlers train all year round, often in tough conditions, and fundraising ensures we can afford the kit, insurance, fuel costs and infrastructure that supports their work.
One of the most direct ways to help is by taking on a fundraising challenge - from sponsored walks or runs to something more personal or creative. We’ll support you with resources to help spread the word and make the most of your efforts.
If you enjoy talking to people, you could help us with publicity and promotion. That might mean distributing leaflets locally, speaking to community groups, or helping to raise awareness in schools, clubs, and workplaces. Even just a few hours of your time can make a real difference. Helping us run a stall, chatting to the public, or supporting with logistics, every role helps us stay operational and ready to respond.
We also welcome sponsorship from local businesses, whether that’s a one-off donation, covering the cost of specific kit or training equipment, or choosing us as a charity partner. It’s a great way to give back locally and demonstrate a commitment to community safety.
Finally, we’re always grateful for people who hold fundraising events - to help raise awareness of our charity and we are happy to attend when we can and even hold demo's! The more people who know what we do, the stronger our support network becomes.
Supporting Cornwall Search Dogs through fundraising doesn’t just raise money - it helps us build a network of people who believe in what we do. If you’d like to get involved, we’d love to hear from you.
