Cornwall is a place where dogs are family. From beaches and cliff paths to woodlands and moors, it’s one of the most dog-friendly corners of the UK – and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

At Cornwall Search Dogs, we’re here for the moments no one wants to face: when a dog goes missing. Whether they’ve bolted on a walk, chased a scent too far, or become disoriented in a new place, we work with owners to do everything we can to bring them home. We will also assist when needed should a person go missing.

Leaving a gift in your will helps ensure we can keep doing just that – for years to come.

Why Legacy Gifts Matter

We’re a professional, volunteer-led team. That means we don’t get paid, and we don’t charge families. All our search work, training, equipment, and dog welfare costs are covered by donations from people who care about what we do.

Legacy gifts give us a chance to plan for the future. They help us:

• Train and support new search dogs and handlers

• Invest in tracking equipment and operational resources

• Cover fuel and travel costs for volunteers

• Expand awareness and education across the county

And when we’re approached by families of missing people, we do step in to help there too.

What You Can Leave

You don’t have to be wealthy to leave a legacy. Most gifts in wills are relatively small – and they still make a big difference to a team like ours.

You can choose to leave

• A specific amount of money (called a pecuniary gift)

• A share of your estate after other gifts have been made (called a residuary gift)

• A specific item – like a vehicle or a useful piece of equipment

If you’d like to include us in your will, your solicitor will need our details
